November 2005, I got my drivers license, and its almost a year now (no accident, no ticket, no nothing). Now im more concerned in getting my own policy. oyea and Im 19 yrs old, and from Seattle, WA.

Not very good. I want to say that if that is all you are paying for your car insurance right now stay with it if ou can. There are several reasons you won’t get a better rate now.
1. Your age is the main thing. Insurance cos. consider you a teenage driver until you are 25 to 27 years of age in this country because that is the age group that has the most accidents and traffic violations. This is the age group that they have to pay out on the most.
2. It is good that you have kept your driving record clean, but it is important that you do this until you reach that magic age of adulthood in their eyes.
3. By being in this country just one year you have to establish your driving record for several years for the insurance company to look at you as an experienced driver.
4. There are other factors that come into play also like area you live in . Number of accidents or incidents of violations. These are not numbers pertaining to just one individual but to all drivers in your region.
I am sure there are other factors I am not familar with. Just remember this when I say your rate is good right now it is.
When my daughter started driving at 18 her insurance would have cost her almost $3000 a year on her own,But by it being under a family plan it is a little less than what you pay now. It was about the same as you pay now when she was 18. It is just a little cheaper now that she is 21 and the fact we live in another state and the rates are obviously lower here than our home state. Each State has differnt rates.
Good luck to you and I hope this has helped you!
